ABSTRACT

Early childhood education for sustainable development:  The role of a caregiver which is focus this write up discussed the needs of small children and their recognition in issues concerning sustainable development, their right and interest must be better safeguarded in rules, policy and decisions that concern the education of the youngest group of children.  It is pertinent in any educational programme to examine its successes a long time some factors which equally can be concern with the development of the nation this issues from the discussion of the paper and conclusion and recommendations were drawn.

ABSTRACT

Creativity has been shown to contribute to good mental health; successful living, professional performance, and the process of civilization. This paper has made an attempt to explore different methods of enhancing creativity in schools. These methods are: creative environment, development of creative personality traits, creative teaching, and teaching of creative thinking skill, creative counseling, and thinking curriculum. It concluded that fostering of creativity calls for early recognition of creative potentials and cultivation of learning habits such as spirit of discovery. It also recommended that all children should be exposed to many interesting experiences and exciting materials that will stimulate their senses inspire their growing power of expression and appreciation for sustainable development.

ABSTRACT

The paper examines the concept of Science Education in Nigeria and how it can enhance Sustainable development in the Country. It also discusses the History of Science Education in Nigeria and takes a cursory look at Science Education in Nigeria today in relation to the implementation of the curriculum. The paper further examines prospects for Science Education in the country and factors hampering the effective development of Science Education in the country. The paper concluded that effective Science Education in the country is the key to Sustainable development especially as the country strives towards becoming one of the top 20 economies in the world by the year 2020.
